Sharing a phone, not an account.
In a busy hospital environment, we know that a hospital-owned phone is passed between personnel, ensuring the on-call person is always available. This IUMS update allows fast user switching in Ikonix Connect when multiple staff members share a role and its assigned phone. This ensures contact is uninterrupted, while maintaining accurate record attribution.
Modernising paging with encryption.
As we’ve discussed in this article, paging signals can be picked up and decoded by unauthorised external parties.
This IUMS update facilitates the use of encryption into Ikonix Encode. With AES-256 encryption, the radio signal broadcast would no longer be at risk of prying eyes – vital when sharing patients’ private medical data.
A range of encryption-ready pagers are already available to make the most of this advance in hospital operation security.
Advances in on-call rostering.
As the Suite continues to grow, we have been listening to our Ikonix WebConnect customers, and how they use the on-call rostering features.
This update provides a series of improvements, including support for 24-hour timekeeping, to boost usability and user experience to the rostering features.
